The largest supplier of animal drugs to Russia is a Belarussian company Rubikon. “The company mainly supplies medicines for farm animals. The company’s best-selling animal drugs are disinfectant, insecticide and acaricidal Rateid, and the antibacterial Polybrominated Concentrate Powder,” the experts of RNC Pharma reported.
The second top animal drug importers are Spanish companies amounting to 16.2 per cent sales increase in rubles in 2021. “The maximum retail sales volume has been reached by only one company Livisto accounting for 26 per cent increase in sales. The company’s top selling drug is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug Petkam,” the analysts clarified.
Rounding off the top three animal drugs manufacturers are American companies accounting for an increase of 9.6 per cent (in rubles). Analysts pointed out that Zoetis sales volumes have increased by 22 per cent. The main contribution to sales growth was made by the insectoacaricide Simparica and the antibiotic Sinulox,” the experts added.
As to the Russian companies, Askont + and Agrobioprom reported a 19 per cent growth in the sales of animal drugs. “Sales of the vitamin and mineral complex Gabivit-Se produced by Askont rose by 2.3 times. Sales of sedative VetSpokoin produced by Agrobioprom rose by more than 42 per cent, and sales of antifungal medicine Fungivet rose by more than 52 per cent,” reported RNC Pharma.
