According to the document, in cases where farm animals or animal products are seized as part of eradication of the most dangerous animal disease outbreaks, the owner is entitled to compensation. The loss value is calculated for the day preceding the day of the introduction of restrictive measures.
Important: in cases where the violation of veterinary regulations by the owner is revealed, the payment may be withdrawn or reduced. This applies to maintenance and cultivation of animals, and production and storage of animal products.
The cases when the payment is withdrawn or reduced will be listed by the government.
The owner has the right to challenge the decision of the government in court.
The law stipulates compensation to be paid from the regional budget. In cases where the outbreaks have a significant federal or interregional impact, 50% of compensation value for condemned farm animals or animal products will be covered by the federal budget.
