According to the data provided by the Russian service, the parties have renewed a protocol outlining inspection, quarantine, and veterinary health requirements for beef exported from Russia to China.
“The updated protocol, signed in 2021, broadens the range of goods permitted for export to China. The list now includes beef cartilage, aortas, and stomachs,” the Russian service stated in a release. The revised document establishes new requirements for these products, removes provisions regarding COVID-19, and incorporates several technical amendments.
According to Russian authorities, Russian exports of beef offal to China have doubled since the beginning of 2024 compared to the same period last year. “Considering the significant demand for offal in China, expanding the assortment with new types will enable Russian exporters to enhance the profitability of beef production,” said experts from Rosselkhoznadzor.
