The new product line consists of 5 categories of dietary pet food, including diets designed to reduce gastrointestinal discomfort and maintain renal health in animals with chronic kidney disease. The line also includes some diets for weight loss and prevention of struvite stones and urolithiasis. Besides, Miratorg is going to produce low copper foods to manage copper-associated liver diseases in animals.
Miratorg also said that gastrointestinal and renal health products are already available in the market and the rest will be supplied by the end of the year.
They also claim that no artificial flavors are used in production of pet food.
It is also worth noting that the majority of dietary and specialty pet foods sold in Russia used to be sourced from other countries. According to Rosselkhoznadzor there are no delays in supplies, including those from EU countries.
At the same time pet food imports from South America or Southeast Asia are being under consideration.
