The round table was held within the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2023).
“We aim to move away from paper health certificates, although they are still widely used in international trade. Regarding the countries in question (the Middle East countries, V&L), we have to switch to electronic certification. In fact, all information on laboratory tests of exported or imported products must be available in digital systems,” said Sergey Dankvert.
According to him, digital quality and safety control systems for the exported products should be present in any country interested in overseas supplies. “Being an exporter supplying products to Iran, for instance, we must make sure that our partners in Iran are confident in the safety of the supplied products,” added the head of the service.
