According to the experts, Russia showed the biggest growth in agricultural exports among the top 20 countries, increasing its overseas supplies by 2.5% over the past 10 years.
Global agricultural exports set a new record by exceeding $2 trillion in 2022. The value of global food exports increased by 7.4% compared to 2021.
Russian agricultural exports increased by 12% compared to 2021, reaching $41.6 billion. This includes revenue from Russian meat supplies to foreign markets, which surged by 23%. At the same time, fish and seafood shipments decreased by 12% compared to 2021, and dairy products decreased by 1.9%.
The USA keeps being the largest exporter of agricultural products, with a 9.1% increase in sales to foreign markets to $193 billion. Brazil moved up to second place, with shipments increasing by 35% to $135 billion. The third position is taken by the Netherlands (+1.6%, $121 billion). Germany and China also made it into the top 5 global exporters.
