Russia Approves New Dog Vaccine

The Federal Center for Animal Health under the Rosselkhoznadzor (FSBI ARRIAH) has successfully registered a new canine vaccine named ‘Сarnikan-5’, the institution told ‘Veterinary Medicine and Life’.

The new vaccine is specially designed to protect dogs against canine distemper, canine enteric parvovirus and coronavirus, canine adenovirus, and rabies.

Besides that, FSBI ARRIAH has announced the registration of two more pet vaccines this year. These include the ‘Carnikan-4’ canine vaccine, aimed at preventing canine distemper, canine enteric parvovirus and coronavirus, and canine adenovirus in dogs.

A new vaccine, ‘Carnifel-PCH’ for cats, effective against feline panleukopenia, feline calicivirus, and feline viral rhinotracheitis, has also been approved this year.

Besides that, the authorization request from another feline vaccine, ‘Carnifel-PCHR’, has also been submitted by the institution. This vaccine is designed to immunize cats against feline panleukopenia, feline calicivirus, feline viral rhinotracheitis, and rabies.
