“I would like to say, that we are able to completely cover 85% of the market of vaccines against viral livestock diseases, which are required in the Russian Federation,” – said the director of FGBI ARRIAH.

Roman Rybin specified that the Institution keeps working on import substitution of farm animal vaccines. This work is being done in a concerted effort with another institution of the Rosselkhoznadsor – the Russian State Center for Animal Feed and Drug Standardization and Quality (FGBI VGNKI).

“The major objective of the institution today is to develop substitutes for all vaccines, which have been imported to the Russian Federation. We have identified priorities in terms of vaccine development, in order to meet all the needs of the industry and to ensure domestic supplies of the necessary volumes,” said Roman Rybin.

He also noted, that the institution has increased the sales of vaccines on the local market by 85% as compared to the previous year and ramped up exports by 50%. FGBI ARRIAH’s vaccines are supplied to 25 countries. At the same time, scientists keep working on the development of new immunobiologicals.
