“Sustainable production enables to systematically increase exports of dairy products including milk. Russia dairy exports in 2021 exceeded $390 million which is one-third higher compared to 2020. The top exports overseas are cheeses and fermented dairy,” said the Minister. Dmitry Patrushev also noted that China, as well as a number of other countries are actively exporting the Russian ice cream which is in high demand there.
According to the Minister, the biggest consumers of the Russian dairy are neighboring countries which now account for more than 90% of Russia total exports.
Dmitry Patrushev added that in recent years Russia has been actively expanding dairy export markets.
“Over the past 4 years, Russia opened 22 new dairy export markets. The key export markets are China, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Singapore. But I can assure you that we will continue our work on seeking new export markets,” said the Minister of Agriculture.
