The routine fire safety and sanitary-epidemiological inspections will be maintained only in exhaustively listed enterprises, which are also subject to occupational safety checks.
“The unannounced inspections will be carried out only in some exceptional situations, that have the potential for natural or man-made emergencies, put people’s life or health at risk, or threaten national security,” the Cabinet of Ministers informs.
It is specified that such inspections will need an approval of the prosecutor's office.
The unannounced inspections can also be assigned by the President or the Government.
The new decision forms part of a package of measures adopted to support businesses facing sanctions. Other measures are listed in V&L’s review.
