“The increase in egg production will average 2.8% or 1 billion eggs, as compared to 2021. Thus, we will reach a gross egg production of 45.8 eggs,” he said.
In 2022, poultry production increased by 5.2% compared to 2021, Vladimir Fisinin said. He also specified, that gross poultry production will reach 5.2 million tons in slaughter weight at the end of the year.
“The poultry industry not only meets 100% of demand of Russian consumers, but also successfully supplies products for export. We deliver products globally to 17 countries. According to the forecast of Rosptitsesoyuz, exports of poultry products will reach 320 thousand tons of poultry meat and 600 million tons of eggs by the end of 2022,” the speaker noted.
He also added that currently Russia is the fourth largest poultry producer in the world, and holds the 7th place in egg production.
