According to analysts, 227 companies were engaged in feed additives supplies to Russia in the first half of 2021. During the first two quarters of 2022, the number of suppliers has decreased to 177 companies.
“Although the businesses that suspended their operations were relatively small, they accounted for approximately 6,5% of the total volume of imported products,” RNC Pharma said.
The total volume of feed additives supplies to Russia in the first two quarters of 2022 amounted to 68 000 tons, worth 21.9 billion rubles. The analysts noted a 4,1% growth in ruble terms compared to the same period in 2021. However, physical quantities saw a 15,5% decline.
Among the suppliers of feed additives continuing to operate in Russia, the highest growth dynamics were shown by the Malaysian Britz company (by 42,7 times). “This was mostly due to the “Polyfat A600”, an energy booster that enhances caloric intake,” the analysts explained.
According to experts, the second best is the Chinese “Unisplendor” from the Ningxia Autonomous Region (growth by 39 times). This company supplies “DL-Methionine”.
